			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>Science Daily reported on the results of a brief Swedish study that found a paleo-type diet beats the much-lauded Mediterranean-type diet when it comes to controlling blood sugar. 29 participants, each with glucose intolerance and coronary heart disease (and some with type 2 diabetes), were split into two groups and instructed to follow either a paleo diet, with no grains or dairy, or a Mediterranean diet with lots of whole grains and low-fat dairy (why always low-fat dairy? The Mediterranean diet, the real one that actual people in the Mediterranean eat, isn&#8217;t founded on skimmed milk and low-fat cheese). After three months, the paleo eaters had normal blood glucose, and a much lower blood sugar response to dietary carbohydrates. They also lost more inches around the waist.</p>

<p>I think it&#8217;s great that somebody, finally, did a formal study involving a paleo diet.</p>

<p>Are you aware that strength training for <a href="http://rjgresearch.blogspot.com">weight loss</a> is a<br />
crucial strategy and also assists in keeping the weight off? The<br />
workout doesn&#8217;t have to involve big heavy weights or a major<br />
program but simply some fundamental strength training.</p>
<p>Commonly people hit the diet to lower calorie intake with the<br />
aim of losing weight. This comes from the basic idea that by<br />
reducing calories weight loss will follow, and this has some<br />
truth. To reduce weight a deficiency in calorific intake is<br />
necessary but this is only half of the full picture.</p>
<p>The fat layer on your body does not burn calories it is simply<br />
storage. It is the muscle mass beneath the fat layer that burns<br />
calories. It is often found that heavy people are in fact very<br />
strong beneath the fat layer. The body has had to develop<br />
muscles to maintain posture and enable mobility. The normal<br />
everyday actions such as getting to work, walking, getting<br />
groceries and the like builds up the muscles and this is<br />
advantageous.</p>
<p>The worst thing we want to do is lose the muscle mass while we<br />
are losing fat and this is the risk if we starve ourselves to<br />
lose body fat. You will find that muscle mass will decline for<br />
the reason that there is no now need to hold up the bodyweight<br />
that it used to do. Also with the diet, there is now<br />
insufficient calorie to sustain those muscles. As muscle mass is<br />
lost the metabolic process reduces, and then if we consume just<br />
a little too much it will be stored, which is not what we want.</p>
<p>Strength training for weight loss is an ideal way to handle this<br />
problem. By using strength training while also losing body fat,<br />
not only will you end up with a muscular outcome, but you will<br />
achieve the end result much faster. With the reduction in body<br />
fat out muscles will begin to show increased definition.</p>
<p>A lot of body fat is layed down external to our muscles, but it<br />
can also be stored internally, which gives the muscles some bulk<br />
when we carry too much fat. Intramuscular fat will be reduced<br />
during a strength training for weight loss regime. Our muscles<br />
may then actually look smaller than they were but it will now be<br />
lean muscle which will require calories to be maintained.</p>
<p>The loss of muscle is alot simpler than getting it back, so he<br />
regime we choose should aim to retain what we have. Losing<br />
weight is not actually the objective that people are really<br />
seeking. It is usually the loss of fat that is the target and<br />
the workout should reflect that objective.</p>
<p>in order to retain the muscle mass when reducing weight we need<br />
to incorporate a strength training for weight loss regime. If a<br />
diet is undertaken that is basically a starvation type diet our<br />
body will move into starvation mode and utilise the glycogen<br />
that has been stored to obtain the required energy. This leads<br />
to the reduction in sugars and water but this is not a reduction<br />
in fat.</p>
<p>To recap, weight reduction is not essentially the goal, we are<br />
looking to lose fat. It is best to avoid the appeal of weighing<br />
ourselves as a measure of progress and to find better ways to<br />
estimate body fat.</p>
<p>Calipers are are a great option and should be purchased, they do<br />
not cost much and will help enormously. These measure the fat<br />
layer at specific, and repeatable points on the body. There are<br />
charts that will show the best places to take these measurements<br />
and they are different for men and women who typically store fat<br />
in different places on their body.</p>
<p>In conclusion, a strength training for weight loss program will<br />
assist in the goal of reducing body fat while utilizing the<br />
muscles we already have to produce a lean body with enough<br />
muscle to burn the calories we take in each day.</p>

It’s the greatest time to be alive in all of human history! Unfortunately, today’s modern conveniences have brought a dark side upon us.</p>
<p>Rising obesity has paralleled the march of technology. The chair-bound, desk-job, computer, car, elevator, television based society of today is helping to make millions of people fat and lazy.</p>
<p>Our current way of life is less than a century old, yet our biology hasn’t changed in tens of thousands of years. Our bodies were designed to move and work, not sit and click.</p>
<p>We’ve become spoiled. Complacent. Dependent. And we are paying a price for it. We are fatter than ever before in all of human history. More than two thirds of Americans are now overweight. One third are obese.</p>
<p>People are dying because they‘re too fat.</p>
<p>Ironically, none of our new technology can solve our body fat problems. There’s no easy way. No pill. No machine. No drug. More knowledge isn’t going to help. We already have most of the answers. We know more about the human body than ever before. But it’s all academic.</p>

winding road of weight loss for a list of all new contestants.<br />
For five years, Jillian Michaels and Bob Harper having inspired<br />

like they are a little too rough, Jillian in particular, the end<br />
